The Bachelor of Applied Management program is tailored for ambitious individuals seeking business success, offering hands-on learning and adaptable course options. Participants select from various specializations and elective courses, developing comprehensive business knowledge, focused expertise, and practical experience in their chosen field. Acquire the capabilities to become a financial leader. This extensive specialization provides learners with techniques to optimize both team performance and operational workflows. Graduates emerge with the ability to design and execute productivity improvements that deliver what all organizations require: enhanced profitability. During their initial year, students complete eight foundational courses essential for the applied management qualification, establishing crucial competencies for business excellence. The second year involves three operation and production management specialization courses, three electives that may count toward a secondary focus area, plus two key subjects – Applied Management and Research Methodology. In the final year, scholars undertake two additional operation and production management courses and two more toward their secondary specialization, while also applying their knowledge through an internship with a regional company.

Qualification Requirements

i) NCEA Level 3 comprised of 60 credits at NCEA Level 3 or above and 20 credits at NCEA Level 2 or above, including:
(1) 14 credits each at NCEA Level 3 in three approved subjects, and
(2) Literacy (10 credits at NCEA Level 2 or above made up of 5 credits each in reading and writing), and
(3) Numeracy (10 credits at NCEA Level 1 or above), or

ii) 72 credits at NCEA Level 2 including:
(1) At least 14 credits in each of four subjects, and
(2) UE Literacy - 10 credits at NCEA Level 2 or above made up of 5 credits each in reading and writing, and
(3) UE Numeracy - 10 credits at NCEA Level 1 or above, or

iii) Satisfied the criteria for entrance to a New Zealand University, or an equivalent qualification approved by the Programme Committee, or

iv) Completed an appropriate overseas School qualification, or

v) Completed a year of study at an overseas Secondary School, and gained the equivalent of 60 credits at NCEA Level 2 across four subjects.
International English Language Test System (IELTS) score of 6.0, with no individual band score lower than 5.5
TOEFL Internet based test (iBT) - Score of 60 (with a writing score of 18)
