The MAppLing program offers comprehensive study in Applied Linguistics, covering diverse subjects such as conducting research on second and additional language use, learning, and instruction.

You'll examine how language influences identity, the organization of linguistic knowledge in the lexicon, how language acquisition theories guide teaching methods, and techniques for evaluating proficiency in non-native languages.

Qualification Requirements

A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification) with at least a B average in Linguistics, English Language, Education, or a language other than English. Consideration may be given if you have relevant professional experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree
At least two years of professional experience in language education or a related field. Applicants without relevant experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be expected to complete bridging courses.
IELTS: minimum overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score below 6.0
TOEFL: minimum score of 90 for the internet-based test with a minimum of 20 in writing
