The Bachelor of Design Innovation (BDI) is a three-year undergraduate program that equips students for careers in various growing design fields.

At Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, Design focuses on innovation. While acquiring industry-relevant skills, you'll explore new possibilities and shape design's future. Through studio sessions and seminars, instructors will guide you in adopting an experimental design mindset that fosters inventive and considered solutions.

Students specialize in one of eight disciplines—Animation and Visual Effects, Communication Design, Design for Social Innovation, Fashion Design Technology, Game Design, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or Media Design. This degree emphasizes cross-disciplinary learning, promoting exploration beyond design subjects to ensure comprehensive understanding of design's real-world applications.

The gaming sector has become a powerhouse within design industries, now surpassing combined revenues of film and music.
