The Bachelor of Design Innovation (BDI) is a three-year undergraduate program that equips students for careers in the growing field of design.

At Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, Design focuses on innovation. Students gain current industry skills while exploring new frontiers in design practice. Through studio sessions and seminars, instructors demonstrate experimental design methods that foster creative problem-solving.

This program provides deep insight into how design interacts with culture, society, technology, and the environment. Students examine these dynamic relationships through both theory and practice, while investigating design applications across multiple industries and academic disciplines.
