Expand your horizons through diverse postgraduate opportunities in Japanese language and cultural studies. Select from multiple academic pathways, including a coursework-focused Postgraduate Diploma in Arts, a blended coursework-research Bachelor of Arts (Honours), or advanced research through Master's and PhD programs. Our interdisciplinary research options allow you to explore your specific interests while developing profound cultural and linguistic expertise, paving the way for an academic career. You'll study under globally recognized faculty in the School of Languages and Cultures, known for their teaching excellence and scholarly publications. The program requires completion of 120 points within one year (full-time) or up to four years (part-time). Honours students will experience more independent learning, including a supervised 30-point research project involving design, execution, and reporting. Smaller class sizes at Honours level foster stronger connections with faculty members.
