Candidates for the Degree must have qualified for the award of:
either
- a Bachelors (Honours) degree of the University of Waikato, or a 120 point Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology, or a qualification considered by the Academic Board to be equivalent, with a Grade Point Average of 4.5 or higher in 75 points above 300 level including at least 45 points in Computer Science or a related field at 500 level or

- a Bachelors degree of the University of Waikato, or a degree qualification considered by the Academic Board to be equivalent, with a Grade Point Average of 4.5 or higher in 75 points at 300 level or above including at least 45 points in Computer Science or a related field or

- a Bachelors degree of the University of Waikato, or a degree qualification considered by the Academic Board to be equivalent and
- the Postgraduate Certificate in Information Technology with a Grade Point Average of 4.5 or higher or
