Waikato's Master of Digital Business stands out in New Zealand by emphasizing technology through a managerial lens.
In today's digitally-driven world, businesses that don't adapt to emerging technologies risk falling behind.
This hands-on master's program prepares aspiring managers to leverage digital tools for transforming business processes - enhancing profitability, improving efficiency, and creating innovative customer and supplier interactions.
Students undertake a professional internship, working on actual projects for 8-13 weeks at a chosen organization locally or internationally. This practical experience jumpstarts careers by providing employer-valued skills while reinforcing academic learning.
The program also includes a research project analyzing real-world digital business challenges or opportunities.
Graduates emerge prepared to spearhead digital transformation initiatives as managers or consultants.
The curriculum covers cutting-edge subjects including: cloud solutions, data analytics, mobile tech, beacon systems, gamification strategies, business insights, real-time data interpretation, digital marketing, consumer tech trends, location services, supply chain optimization, automated distribution, digital government services, search algorithms, and remote collaboration tools.
Note: While students arrange their own internships, support is available. Internships can occur in New Zealand or internationally.
