Anatomy is an inseparable part of your daily life. It accompanies you wherever you go, providing structure to your body, governing your thoughts and actions, and empowering movement and activity. Consequently, Anatomy encompasses far more than surface-level study. The field includes cellular biology, neuroscience, clinical and applied anatomy, bodily systems, reproductive science, growth biology, and human evolution studies. The University of Otago stands as New Zealand's sole institution offering an undergraduate Anatomy specialization. Students can investigate both classical anatomical methods and modern technological approaches to examine human physiology across all structural dimensions - from microscopic cells to complex organ networks.
