The Master of Music (MMus) program demands a minimum of one year of full-time enrollment or its part-time equivalent. Students can specialize in Composition, Studio Production, or Performance.
Applicants must hold either a Bachelor of Music with Honours (MusB(Hons)), a Postgraduate Diploma in Music (PGDipMus), or possess equivalent qualifications or experience approved by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Humanities).
For the Composition specialization, students must submit a portfolio featuring an extended work along with additional compositions, supplemented by a written component.
Studio Production candidates need to produce a professional-level sound recording of original or arranged works, accompanied by a written analysis.
Performance students must deliver two approved public recitals of roughly 50 minutes each (with at least one occurring at the program's conclusion), participate in an oral examination, and complete a written component. One live performance may be substituted with a recorded presentation.
Alumni pursue diverse career paths in performance, composition, education, music technology, theater, and media industries.
