The Master of Health Sciences (MHealSc) program offers advanced study opportunities in various health fields, along with research components (thesis, dissertation, or project) tailored to each student's specialization.
Typically, students complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences (PGCertHealSc) and/or a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (PGDipHealSc) before entering the Master of Health Sciences program. Admission usually requires maintaining a B average in the Postgraduate Diploma.
The Master of Aviation Medicine (MAvMed) is a fully taught graduate program, combining core Aviation Medicine courses with options from the Postgraduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine (PGDipOccMed) or Postgraduate Diploma in Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport (PGDipAeroRT). This degree is exclusively for licensed medical practitioners, who often earn an additional Postgraduate Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Medicine or Aeromedical Retrieval alongside their MAvMed.
Those interested in research-focused graduate work should consider the Master of Health Sciences (MHealSc) with an Aviation Medicine specialization.
Aviation Medicine is also offered as a concentration within both the Master of Health Sciences (MHealSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs.
