The Master of Finance (MFinc) prepares students for careers as finance professionals or academic researchers. This one-year full-time program combines coursework with either an applied or research project, fostering both individual skill development and research capabilities. Beginning with foundational courses, students can explore and contribute to various research areas. Those opting for the Applied Project (FINC 501) will find diverse career paths in banking, investment firms, corporate treasuries, regulatory bodies, and consulting. Students who complete the Research Project (FINC 580) will additionally gain the expertise to undertake substantial independent research, providing a pathway to PhD studies.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to the programme shall be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Commerce).
Every applicant must either
be a graduate and normally have achieved an average grade of B in the papers satisfying the final year major subject requirements for that degree, or
have equivalent alternative qualifications or experience acceptable to the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Commerce).
In considering an applicant's qualifications, regard will be had to the detail of the course of study followed to gain the qualification, as well as the applicant's performance in the programme.

IELTS (Academic) - Overall score of 6.5, no individual band below 6.0.
TOEFL iBT - Overall score of 90 and a writing score of 21.
