Maori Studies serves as an introductory pathway for students looking to explore the Maori worldview. This comprehensive program focuses on te reo Maori (the Maori language), tikanga Maori (Maori customs and traditions), and elements of te ao Maori (the Maori universe). Maori culture continues to evolve. By examining these three interconnected areas, you'll gain access to this rich cultural heritage while developing the analytical skills to apply this knowledge in our rapidly changing modern context.
