The Master of Applied Science (MAppSc) is a 180-credit postgraduate program focused on coursework. While typically pursued by graduates, it also welcomes applicants with other relevant qualifications. This interdisciplinary degree equips students with adaptable scientific skills for diverse professional applications, offering specialized tracks in commercialization, workplace projects, or independent research.
The Postgraduate Certificate (PGCertAppSc), Diploma (PGDipAppSc), and Master's (MAppSc) in Quantitative Genetics develop essential skills for careers applying genetic analysis methods. Graduates find opportunities in primary industry breeding (agriculture, horticulture, forestry), medical research, and conservation genetics for threatened species.
These programs foster analytical abilities, cultivate critical evaluation skills, and enhance understanding of New Zealand-specific applications.
