The Graduate Diploma in Bioethics and Health Law (GDipBHL) offers foundational knowledge in bioethics and healthcare legislation, examining ethical and legal perspectives on contemporary medical challenges. This program is a collaborative effort between the Bioethics Centre and the Faculty of Law, promoting an interdisciplinary learning environment.
The curriculum includes three mandatory courses (Theories of Biomedical Ethics; Issues in Law, Ethics and Medicine; and Law and Medicine). Students must complete at least one additional law course, with remaining credits fulfilled through elective bioethics or legal studies. Law course options encompass: Law and Psychiatry, Family Law, and International Human Rights.

Qualification Requirements

Admission to the programme will be subject to the approval of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health Sciences).
Every applicant shall
be a graduate or have a qualification or qualifications requiring at least three years' full-time tertiary study or experience acceptable to the Board of Studies for the degree, and
present evidence of ability for advanced level academic study.

IELTS (Academic) - Overall score of 6.5, no individual band below 6.0.
TOEFL iBT - Overall score of 90 and a writing score of 21.
