The Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LLB(Hons)) program aims to deliver a comprehensive, well-rounded legal education with a critical perspective. It fulfills the Council of Legal Education's standards, enabling graduates to qualify for the New Zealand legal profession. Students develop expertise in legal research techniques, including electronic database navigation, along with writing and advocacy skills for both formal and informal settings. The Honours program builds upon the standard LLB requirements by adding a significant research dissertation and participation in research seminars. Notably, completing the LLB(Hons) requires no additional time compared to the regular LLB. Students may pursue this honors degree simultaneously with another academic program.
