European Studies examines the significant political, economic, social, and cultural changes stemming from deepened European integration - the process of forming the European Union. This academic program concentrates on modern European unification, equipping students with in-depth understanding of key contemporary European matters alongside Spanish, German, and French language instruction. The curriculum addresses challenges facing the 340 million residents of today's Europe. While similar to the major, the European Studies minor makes language courses elective rather than mandatory.
