The Asian Studies program offers an interdisciplinary approach to deepen understanding of Asian cultures, exploring their societies, traditions, values, and belief systems.
At the University of Otago, Asian Studies stands as a distinguished field of research excellence. Our faculty not only teaches Asian Studies but also engages in both independent and joint research projects within the university and with other academic institutions.
Students can incorporate Asian Studies courses into a Global Studies major.
