The Postgraduate Certificate in Translation and Interpreting (PGCertT&I) offers professional accreditation for translation or interpreting across multiple languages.

This program consists of two courses - one required and one optional - providing hands-on training with translation software or experience in cross-cultural interpretation, including emergency communication scenarios where UC has particular expertise.

Upon completing this qualification, graduates will satisfy the criteria to pursue NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) certification.

Qualification Requirements

A bachelor's degree with at least 60 points in 300-level language courses at a B+ grade average, or equivalent level, from either Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, or Te Reo Mori

Any bachelor's degree with relevant professional or other work experience in one of the approved languages above, or another language which may be available on application

IELTS: An average score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
TOEFL iBT :Total minimum score of 90, minimum score of 19 in reading, writing and listening
