Numerous physics alumni work as professional physicists across organizations like Crown Research Institutes, the National Radiation Laboratory, hospital medical physics units, universities, and the Meteorological Service.
While not all physics graduates pursue scientific careers, their problem-solving abilities, quantitative skills, and logical reasoning make them highly sought after. Many enter the IT and electronics sectors, while financial institutions, defense organizations, law enforcement, and aviation companies (including Air New Zealand) equally value these competencies.
