The University of Canterbury's new Master of Marketing program helps students without prior marketing experience develop the specialized knowledge and practical abilities needed for successful marketing careers. Focusing particularly on digital marketing, the curriculum equips learners to excel in modern technology-centered marketing environments. Students gain real-world experience through practical assignments, compiling a professional portfolio that distinguishes them in the job market. Starting February 2025, this dedicated Marketing degree will replace the Marketing specialization within the Master of Business program, offering more concentrated, industry-relevant training that empowers graduates to develop effective marketing solutions.
Normally the minimum requirement is a three-year bachelor’s degree from a New Zealand university, or a qualification or combination of qualifications considered to be equivalent.A bachelor's degree with at least a B Grade Point Average in 300-level courses is required. Students must be approved by the Dean of Business, who will take account of the relevance and standard of previous studies and experience.
