Leveraging UC's academic excellence in teaching and research, students can earn a master's-level capstone degree in the sought-after field of international relations and diplomacy. This program provides an interdisciplinary curriculum with a professional focus through innovative coursework. Studies commence in February (Semester 1), typically as a one-year full-time commitment, though part-time study options extendable to three years are available with approval.
The MIRAD program is ideally suited for those pursuing careers in foreign service or international policy coordination.
Although Manat≈´ Aorere Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade doesn't mandate specific academic backgrounds, holding a postgraduate qualification in analytical disciplines like law, political science, international relations, economics, or science can benefit applicants.
Upon completion, UC graduates will possess: in-depth understanding of contemporary international relations research
expertise in current diplomatic practices and related professional fields
skills to analyze both theoretical and practical challenges in global affairs
demonstrated research capabilities (including question formulation, data gathering and interpretation, case study evaluation, and hypothesis verification), developed through collaboration with senior academics and policy leaders.
