The Master of Applied Finance and Economics is a combined graduate program in Finance and Economics, designed to be finished full-time within 12 to 18 months. Students will engage with advanced studies in both disciplines, culminating in a capstone course featuring four practical modules: cost-benefit analysis, financial strategy, economic forecasting, and investment portfolio management.
The MAFE program provides:
a structured, practice-oriented graduate degree tailored for Finance or Economics majors

frequent access to UC Business School's Te Kura Umanga Wāhi Hokohoko Trading Room with Bloomberg terminal access

Applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree that includes intermediate microeconomics, introductory business finance, a calculus-based mathematics course, and an introductory statistics course, and be approved for entry.
Applicants must also satisfy our English language entry requirements:
IELTS (Academic): An average score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
TOEFL (IBT): Total minimum score of 90, minimum score of 19 in reading, writing, and listening.
PTE (Pearson Test of English - Academic): PTE with an overall score of 58 and no PTE communicative skills score below 50.

English language pathway option at CCEL
Students who are at IELTS level 6.0 are welcome to enrol for CCEL English for Academic Purposes 2 (EAP2) online to enhance their English language proficiency. A grade of B+ or higher in this course satisfies UC English language requirements for postgraduate study.
