Qualified first-year students with higher language proficiency may directly enroll in upper-level courses. Those who have achieved Level 3 NCEA with at least 15 credits in Japanese can register for JAPA215. Students uncertain about their placement can take an assessment test. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students can enhance their language studies with various non-language course options.
