Acquire specialized expertise to improve child healthcare in your medical practice. This diploma is designed for registered medical professionals practicing in New Zealand. Participants must finish six months of pediatric training before the academic year concludes. The program combines hands-on clinical experience with structured learning, delivered primarily online. It equips participants to address common and significant health issues affecting infants, children, and adolescents. Please note that the University of Auckland doesn't facilitate graduate employment and cannot ensure professional registration or job opportunities in New Zealand or elsewhere after completion.
You must have completed, and held for at least one year, an undergraduate medical qualification such as the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). Your study must have been at a recognised university (or similar institution). You must also hold current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and you will need to have access to six months’ paediatric training whilst undertaking the programme.
