Designed for existing healthcare practitioners and graduates holding applicable bachelor's degrees who seek advanced education in health disciplines. The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science encompasses diverse health science topics. Opt for a general curriculum or focus on a specific concentration. Requires one year of full-time enrollment or a maximum of four years for part-time completion. Select either a comprehensive health sciences postgraduate diploma or one of our specialized tracks. Our Population Mental Health programs accommodate graduates from health sciences, psychology, social work, and related fields, along with practicing professionals in primary care, community mental health, Māori health services, Pacific health initiatives, and health promotion sectors.
You must have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) in a health-related discipline such as health sciences, medicine, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, psychology, or social work. You will need a Grade Point Average (GPA) or Grade Point Equivalent (GPE) of at least 2.5.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
