The PGDipArts serves as an alternative pathway to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours). It offers a broad selection of Arts disciplines, with the potential option to incorporate a thesis. This program could suit you if you prefer advanced academic work without a dissertation requirement, if your home country doesn't acknowledge honours degrees, or if you need flexible part-time study options. Art History postgraduate programs examine diverse analytical frameworks and methods concerning European, American, Australasian, Māori, and Polynesian artistic traditions. Your studies may encompass anything from focused examinations of masters like Rembrandt to exploring the societal impact of public artworks and museums. Art History at postgraduate level extends beyond conventional fine arts, enabling you to analyze visual artifacts across different cultures and historical periods, examining their forms, interpretations, and cultural significance.
You need to have completed an undergraduate degree at a recognised university (or similar institution) in a similar discipline to your intended subject. You will require a GPE of 3.5.
