Expand your professional horizons by deepening your expertise in urban planning along with heritage building preservation and adaptive reuse. The Master of Urban Planning (Professional) and Heritage Conservation program provides a solid foundation for modern practice realities. In a shorter timeframe than pursuing both degrees independently, you'll earn a professionally accredited urban planning qualification while enhancing your understanding of historical construction techniques and preservation methods. This integrated program draws from two established master's degrees. Through interactive seminars and studio work, you'll analyze exemplary urban planning case studies while investigating conservation principles and applications. You'll have opportunities to pursue specialized interests and complete a 15,000-word (approximate) research dissertation. The curriculum is designed to foster connections with active urban planning practitioners and heritage conservation experts.
You must hold at least an undergraduate degree from a recognised university (or similar institution) in a related field, such as (but not limited to) environmental science, politics and international relations, economics, geography or architecture.
You will need a GPE of 5.0 in your final year of study.
