Our LLM program offers sophisticated and adaptable legal education for students pursuing studies either full-time or part-time. You can maintain your professional commitments while learning, or immerse yourself fully to progress more rapidly. The LLM features rolling admissions year-round, giving you the freedom to advance your career on your schedule. Students may also incorporate interdisciplinary learning by selecting one or two master's courses (maximum 30 credits) from other University of Auckland faculties. The program includes legal research methodology training for those needing to develop these crucial skills. Choose from more than 30 specialized courses to focus on specific legal fields or explore diverse subjects. You can complete the LLM through coursework, research projects, or a blend of both approaches. This advanced program enables deeper examination of legal topics beyond undergraduate levels, featuring both specialized legal analyses and policy-focused courses. All courses incorporate substantial research elements, typically culminating in a 12,500-word research paper for 30-credit classes.
