Our LLM program offers sophisticated and adaptable legal education tailored for students pursuing studies either full-time or part-time. Maintain your career progress while learning, or immerse yourself fully to advance more rapidly. With year-round enrollment opportunities, the LLM gives you the freedom to fast-track your professional growth. Additionally, the program enables interdisciplinary exploration through one or two master's courses (up to 30 credits) from other University of Auckland faculties. It also includes legal research methodology training for those needing to strengthen these essential skills. Select from more than 30 specialized courses to focus on specific legal fields or explore diverse legal topics. The LLM can be completed through coursework, research projects, or a blend of both approaches. This curriculum enables deeper, more nuanced examination of legal subjects compared to undergraduate studies, featuring both specialized legal analyses and policy-focused courses. Every course incorporates substantial research elements, typically culminating in a 12,500-word research paper for 30-credit classes.
