For those seeking a career path where you can make meaningful contributions to healthcare services, systems, clinical work, and research, the Master of Health Sciences program offers the perfect opportunity. The MHSc prepares graduates for leadership positions in healthcare delivery, administration, or research. Students can conduct their research either within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences or at the University's Liggins Institute. The program offers both Taught (120 and 240 credit) and Research Masters (120 and 240 credit) options. Applicants with an undergraduate degree typically enroll in the 240-credit program, while those holding a 120-credit postgraduate qualification may qualify for the shorter program. The MHSc delivers specialized training that creates pathways to targeted healthcare careers. While many graduates remain in their current health professions, the degree empowers them to advance into leadership roles. Please note that the University of Auckland does not participate in graduate employment processes and cannot ensure professional registration or job placement in New Zealand or elsewhere after graduation.
