For those seeking a career in healthcare services, systems, clinical practice, or research, the Master of Health Sciences (MHSc) offers an excellent pathway. This program prepares graduates for leadership positions in healthcare delivery, systems, or research. Students can conduct their research within the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences or at the University's Liggins Institute. The program offers both Taught (120 and 240-point) and Research Masters (120 and 240-point) options. Applicants with an undergraduate degree typically enroll in the 240-point program, while those with a 120-point postgraduate qualification may qualify for the shorter option. The MHSc develops specialized skills that create career opportunities in specific healthcare fields. While most graduates continue in their health professions, the degree equips them for leadership roles. Please note that the University of Auckland does not participate in graduate employment and cannot guarantee professional registration or job placement in New Zealand or elsewhere.
