This two-year master's program offers comprehensive training in health psychology's theoretical foundations, research methods, and practical implementations. The curriculum develops both a robust theoretical understanding and advanced research capabilities essential for creating and implementing effective health psychology studies and healthcare interventions. Graduates will gain expertise in assessing intervention program outcomes and applying advanced research methodologies in health contexts. The MHealthPsych serves as preparation for the Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology, offering specialized clinical training and a pathway to becoming a Registered Health Psychologist. Career prospects extend to research and health promotion roles across hospital, private sector, and academic settings. Please note that while the University of Auckland provides this qualification, it does not participate in graduate recruitment and cannot assure professional registration or employment opportunities in New Zealand or internationally.
