The Master of Engineering Studies (MEngSt) enables students with engineering qualifications to enhance their current technical and applied knowledge. Offering flexibility, you can pursue studies full-time or part-time, select between coursework-heavy or research-intensive options, and specialize in one of sixteen available disciplines. This degree demands thorough investigation of your selected field, showcasing advanced analytical abilities and solution-finding techniques valued by global employers. The MEngSt also serves as a stepping stone for postgraduate education. While your specialization may influence your professional direction, our alumni excel in diverse positions involving engineering product and infrastructure assessment, creation, upkeep, and management. The program provides pathways for career progression, whether aiming for senior engineering roles, leadership positions, or research-oriented careers.

You must have completed a four-year bachelor’s degree in engineering at a recognised university (or similar institution) that includes:
Taught 180 points:
You must have completed an undergraduate engineering degree at a recognised university (or similar institution), in a field similar to your intended specialisation.
You will need a GPE of 4.0.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands less than 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
