The MA program provides diverse options to suit your needs. You can choose between research-based and coursework degrees, with durations of one year or 18 months based on your prior qualifications, across over 40 academic disciplines. Your previous studies may allow you to explore a field different from your original specialization. The research master's program lets you make meaningful contributions to your chosen discipline through an extensive research project guided by New Zealand's top academics. For coursework degrees, you'll enhance your expertise in intimate classroom settings, benefit from direct faculty engagement, and undertake a more focused research component. Our Spanish program features specialized postgraduate offerings in language studies as well as Latin American and Spanish literature and cultural studies. Spanish research opportunities align with our academic strengths, including: Early modern to contemporary periods, National and marginalized identities, Critical theory approaches, and studies in film, gender, music, popular culture, theater, and translation.
