This adaptable diploma program allows degree holders to pursue Arts courses while serving as a stepping stone to postgraduate education. Designed for graduates seeking to expand their knowledge in the Arts, this program enables you to qualify for advanced studies by completing intermediate and upper-level undergraduate courses in your chosen field. It offers an opportunity to specialize in a particular subject area, enhancing both your academic credentials and career prospects. The diploma provides the flexibility to tailor your studies to meet specific professional goals or to bridge the gap to our postgraduate offerings.
The curriculum explores language from multiple perspectives, including its structural and cognitive dimensions, societal roles, and historical evolution. You'll examine English linguistics and Pacific languages in depth. As part of a Bachelor of Arts double major, Linguistics can be one of your two specializations, requiring completion of at least 120 points (eight courses) per major, with a minimum of 45 points (three courses) at Stage III level.
You must have completed a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognised university (or similar institution).
