1 The Degree of Doctor of Science shall be awarded to those candidates whose submitted works provide evidence of an original contribution of special excellence to some branch of pure or applied science such that they are considered to have authoritative standing and international eminence in their field. You must demonstrate an ability to research independently and possess a high level of theoretical understanding. Acceptance is subject to staff availability for supervision, and appropriate resources and facilities. You must write an initial statement of research intent to demonstrate your research capability and experience.
