A BHScLLB(Hons) combined degree enables you to earn both a BHSc and LLB(Hons) more efficiently, requiring less time and fewer credits than pursuing each degree individually. Researchers are investigating and tackling modern societal issues, while contemporary legislators create frameworks to support advancements in areas like climate policy, genetic engineering, biotech innovations, and beyond. As scientific breakthroughs constantly expand our knowledge, there's growing need for legal experts with scientific backgrounds - and scientists skilled in handling the legal complexities surrounding their work. Graduates with a BScLLB(Hons) dual degree enjoy diverse career prospects across scientific and legal fields. The University of Auckland Law School's honors program carries significant prestige. Beyond the core competencies developed through the LLB curriculum, honors students refine advanced research and writing abilities, enhancing their qualifications for research-oriented and policy-focused positions. For those with scientific aptitude, this combined degree provides an exceptional pathway to specialize in environmental law, intellectual property law, or scientific disciplines like biotechnology, IT, or forensic science.

Environmental Physics applies physical and mathematical principles to understand Earth systems and ecological processes. This discipline offers ideal preparation for students seeking a physics-oriented approach to environmental studies. Career opportunities include researching planetary phenomena like seismic activity, volcanic processes, oceanography, atmospheric science, and climate patterns. Professionals may also work in resource exploration for petroleum, mineral deposits, or aquifers, while contributing to environmental protection efforts against hazards including seismic events, global warming, and contamination.
