Given the rapid evolution of this discipline, we recognize that technical training alone cannot sustain a lifelong career. Our Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Computer Systems Engineering instead focuses on building adaptable core competencies and theoretical foundations, covering: Essential computer systems principles Hands-on hardware and software development skills Systematic approaches to system design and implementation Team projects and communication training Exposure to both established and emerging electronic, hardware, and software technologies
Secondary school qualifications
You need to have one of the following:
International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum total score of 24.
General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level. You must have completed a minimum of three A-Level subjects.
Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). You must have completed a minimum of three A-level subjects.
GCE ‘A’ Level requirements apply to ‘A’ Level qualifications examined by bodies such as AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC, CCEA and Pearson Education Limited taken outside of New Zealand.
IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 and no bands below 6.0; Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 90 and written score of 21; Paper-based TOEFL: Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Overall score of 176 and no bands below 169; Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score of 58 and no PTE Communicative score below 50; Foundation Certificate in English for Academic Purposes (FCertEAP): Grade of B-; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 85.
