Explore the data frameworks and methods employed in gathering, analyzing, and presenting geographical data. Whenever you've placed a location marker on digital maps or calculated optimal transit routes, you've interacted with Geographic Information Science (GIScience). Introduced in 2019, this discipline examines the systems and approaches for acquiring, handling, and displaying spatial data. Approximately 80% of collected information contains geographic elements, ranging from city names to exact GPS coordinates. Our curriculum covers utilizing satellite and drone-captured data, government datasets, and social media information to investigate diverse social and environmental phenomena.
