A BALLB(Hons) combined degree enables you to earn both a BA and an LLB(Hons) more quickly and with fewer credits than pursuing them individually. This program cultivates critical abilities that prepare students to succeed in our rapidly evolving, interconnected world. Law studies equip you with versatile skills highly valued across diverse professions, both within and outside legal practice. You can enrich your legal education by exploring various disciplines in humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and languages. The BALLB(Hons) program fosters transferable skills for numerous career paths. You'll gain comprehensive legal knowledge, understand its societal impact, and develop a strong ethical compass. Our alumni are making their mark in legal practice throughout New Zealand and internationally, embracing emerging opportunities created by societal, technological, and business advancements.
As part of your BA requirements, you may choose Politics and International Relations as one of your two specializations (double major). Each major requires completing at least 120 points (eight courses), including a minimum of 45 points (three courses) at Stage III level.
