You can enhance your legal education by exploring various disciplines in humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and languages. The BALLB(Hons) program builds robust competencies applicable to numerous career paths. You'll gain legal expertise, understand its societal impact, and develop a strong sense of justice and civic duty. Our alumni practice law throughout New Zealand and internationally, embracing emerging opportunities created by societal, technological, and business advancements.

Chinese language instruction focuses on developing Mandarin conversation skills and reading proficiency, with particular emphasis on speaking and listening. The curriculum includes writing Chinese characters and fundamental translation, all taught within meaningful cultural contexts. Alongside language courses, you can explore Chinese culture through film, media, politics, history, and society - all taught in English. We highly recommend utilizing our university's partnerships with institutions in Chinese-speaking regions. Additionally, we provide short-term cultural immersion and language study abroad opportunities.
