The BALLB combined degree enables you to earn both a BA and LLB in a shorter timeframe and with fewer credit requirements than pursuing each degree individually. This integrated program cultivates crucial abilities for navigating and succeeding in our rapidly evolving global landscape. By studying Law, you'll acquire versatile skills that meet the rigorous demands of diverse career paths, both within and beyond the legal field. Your legal education can be enriched by pairing it with various disciplines from humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and languages. The BALLB program fosters robust career-ready competencies, providing comprehensive legal knowledge, an understanding of its societal impact, and a strong ethical foundation. Our alumni are practicing law across New Zealand and internationally, while others leverage their qualifications to seize emerging opportunities created by societal, technological, and business transformations.

Statistics can serve as one of your two BA majors (forming a double major). Ideal BA pairings with Statistics include Sociology or Politics and International Relations. For greater academic diversity, your second major could be selected from any other BA discipline, such as History or Media, Film and Television. Each major requires completion of at least 120 points (eight courses), including a minimum of 45 points (three courses) at Stage III level.
