Students may pursue either a Bachelor of Arts in Economics or a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics (possibly combined with another relevant major). Introductory courses cover the fundamental principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Microeconomics examines how individuals and businesses make decisions, exploring how markets determine pricing and resource distribution. Macroeconomics analyzes broader economic indicators like employment levels and currency values, focusing on entire economic systems. Both disciplines investigate the relationship between government policies and market performance.
