A combined BABHSc degree enables you to earn both a BA and BHSc faster than pursuing them individually. This interdisciplinary program explores biological, social, and behavioral community factors, concentrating on health determinants, promotion strategies, disease prevention, healthcare systems, and policy. Discover how to implement fundamental health promotion and prevention concepts to address community health issues – while selecting from diverse humanities, social sciences, culture, and language courses. The BABHSc offers comprehensive non-clinical training for various health sector careers, including health education, community health services, counseling, and healthcare planning. Please note: The University of Auckland doesn't oversee graduate employment and cannot ensure professional registration or job opportunities in New Zealand or internationally.
Statistics can serve as one of your two BA majors (forming a double major). Ideal BA pairings with Statistics include Sociology or Political Science and International Relations. To broaden your academic scope, you could select your second major from other BA disciplines like History or Media Studies. Each major requires completing at least 120 points (eight courses), including 45 points (three courses) at advanced Stage III level.
