A BABHSc combined degree enables you to earn both a BA and BHSc faster than pursuing them individually. This interdisciplinary program explores biological, social, and behavioral community factors. It emphasizes health determinants, wellness promotion, illness prevention, healthcare systems, and health policies. Discover how to implement fundamental health promotion and disease prevention strategies for community health issues – while selecting from diverse humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and language courses. The BABHSc offers comprehensive non-clinical training for various health sector careers. Potential roles include wellness advocacy, health education, public health initiatives, counseling services, and healthcare system design. The program offers variousMaori Studies options tailored to your interests and professional aspirations. Course selections include te reoMaori (Māori language),Maori media representation, traditional arts, historical studies, political systems, and performing arts (kapa haka). You may pursueMaori Studies as one of two BA specializations (a dual major). Each major requires completing at least 120 points (eight courses), including 45 points (three courses) at advanced Stage III level.
