A BABHSc combined degree lets you earn both a BA and BHSc faster than pursuing them individually. This program integrates biological, social, and community behavioral perspectives. It examines health determinants, wellness initiatives, illness prevention, healthcare frameworks, and health policies. Discover how to implement fundamental health promotion and disease prevention strategies to address community health issues – while selecting from diverse humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and language courses. The BABHSc offers a comprehensive non-clinical education that equips graduates for various health sector roles. Potential career paths include wellness advocacy, health instruction, public health initiatives, counseling services, and healthcare system design. Please note the University of Auckland doesn't oversee graduate employment and cannot ensure professional registration or job opportunities in New Zealand or internationally.
Geography can serve as one of your two BA concentrations (a dual major). Complementary BA majors to Geography include Political Science and Global Affairs, Psychological Studies, Cultural Anthropology, and Social Structures. To broaden your academic scope, you could select your second major from other BA disciplines like Digital Media Studies or Literary Arts. Each major requires completing at least 120 credits (eight courses), including 45 credits (three courses) at the advanced level.
