A BABHSc combined degree enables you to earn both a BA and BHSc faster than pursuing them individually. This interdisciplinary program explores biological, social, and behavioral community factors. It examines health determinants, wellness initiatives, illness prevention, medical systems, and health policies. Discover how to implement fundamental health promotion and disease prevention strategies for community health issues – while selecting from diverse humanities, social sciences, cultures, and language courses. The BABHSc provides comprehensive non-clinical training for various health sector careers. Potential roles include wellness advocacy, health instruction, public health initiatives, counseling services, and healthcare system design. Please note the University of Auckland doesn't oversee graduate employment and cannot ensure professional certification or job opportunities in New Zealand or internationally.
Chinese language instruction focuses on developing Mandarin conversation skills and reading proficiency. Our curriculum prioritizes verbal communication and auditory comprehension. Students also acquire Chinese writing skills and introductory translation techniques. Language studies incorporate cultural immersion. Supplementary courses explore Chinese arts, cinema, news media, government, historical developments, and social structures, all taught in English. We highly recommend utilizing our university's partnerships with institutions in Mandarin-speaking regions. Short-term cultural exchange programs and language immersion trips are also available.
