This program offers profound insights into both yourself and the world through Arts and Fine Arts studies. As a creative thinker or maker, you'll examine cultural, social, environmental, ethical, and political themes while developing impactful ways to communicate these ideas. The Bachelor of Arts provides diverse subject options, allowing you to specialize in areas of society, culture, and human behavior that fascinate you. Within the Fine Arts component, you'll engage with contemporary art and select from various mediums and practices such as ceramics, photography, installation art, performance, printmaking, film, digital media, and sound art. This dual degree expands your understanding of society while sharpening critical analysis and communication abilities. By integrating these disciplines, you'll maximize your potential and broaden professional opportunities.
Spanish language studies range from introductory to advanced levels, complemented by explorations of Iberian and Latin American cultures spanning historical periods to modern times. The curriculum covers literature, cinema, visual arts, music, popular culture, and linguistic studies. You may pursue Spanish as one of two BA majors (a double major), requiring completion of at least 120 points (eight courses) per major, including 45 points (three courses) at Stage III.
