Our BABE(Hons) program equips you with the skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving global economy. This five-year course combines academic theory with hands-on experience, enabling you to enhance your technical expertise with versatile skills and analytical thinking crucial for tackling intricate challenges. You can pair any of our nine engineering disciplines with diverse subjects from humanities, social sciences, cultures, and languages. The distinctive capabilities you'll acquire through BABE(Hons) will position you advantageously to capitalize on emerging opportunities in societal, technological, and commercial advancements. Every Engineering specialization is accredited by Engineering New Zealand, ensuring international recognition of this qualification.
Pacific Studies enhances your understanding of Pacific cultures, identities, and lived experiences. The curriculum covers Pacific history, health and wellness, social anthropology, languages (including Samoan, Cook Islands Reo, and Tongan), Indigenous knowledge systems, performing arts, material culture, and cinema. You'll have opportunities to examine these subjects across various Pacific cultures. Pacific Studies can be pursued as one of two BA majors (a double major), requiring completion of at least 120 points (eight courses) per major, with a minimum of 45 points (three courses) at Stage III level.
