Our BABE(Hons) program equips you with the capabilities to succeed in a rapidly evolving global economy. This five-year course integrates academic theory with hands-on experience, enabling you to enhance your technical expertise with versatile skills and analytical thinking crucial for addressing intricate challenges. You can pair any of our nine engineering concentrations with diverse offerings in humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and languages. The distinctive competencies acquired through BABE(Hons) will position you advantageously to capitalize on emerging prospects in societal, technological, and commercial advancements. Every Engineering specialization is accredited by Engineering New Zealand, ensuring international recognition of this qualification.
The curriculum includes Stage II Academic English Studies (ACADENG) tailored for non-native English speakers. If your English proficiency doesn't meet Stage II requirements, you'll complete Stage I ACADENG courses first. Your academic English training will incorporate linguistic analysis (phonetics, morphology, syntax, and semantics) alongside foundational principles of language acquisition and instruction.
